Ports!
I just added two Gebo non-opening ports the hull of my Beneteau 235. They look pretty damn good. Here's the story in three videos and a couple of pictures mixed in, right after the break:
As mentioned in the video, here are the nails stuck thru the hull, with the cutout outline.
And then on the inside, with the template placed on the nails to draw the outline and cut away the hull liner.
In case anyone else is considering adding ports and wants a better feel for what they look like from the outside, here is a bunch of views. All images expand to full size when clicked. Try and not pay attention to the rats nest on the deck, that is the by-product of my furler project. Also, the link to where I bought the ports is HERE.

ReplyDeleteNot sure exactly how I found this( was from a link on 235 site) but am very happy to have seen the clips! wished I had seen this a couple of years ago before I messed with mine but, live and learn. Where did you get the port lights or port holes
